Valve Guide Driver (95972178) (as102178) for Ferrari F40 348 456 Testarossa

A reproduction of the original Ferrari tools 95972178 and AS102178. This tool is no longer available and vital for rebuilding Ferrari cylinder heads. It is comprised of two parts, the outer driver and the inner guide.

The new valve guide slides on to the guide, which is then inserted in to the main driver. A set screw from the side can be fastened down to hold the guide in place. This ensures even pressure over the entire top of the guide to minimize any chance of deformation, which is not possible when using a plain hammer. A flat face on the opposite end of the driver acts as the striking surface. The driver slots perfectly in to the head to negate any chance of driving the guide in at an angle. Attempting to refurbish cylinder heads without this tool could result in deformation of the guide or damage to the cylinder head.

Both pieces are designed in the USA and manufactured from 6061-T6 aluminum. The outer body is anodized for longevity.
